  This version includes important fixes to how hosted fields behave during checkout. In previous versions, some users experienced issues where the input cursor would jump out of fields (such as expiration date or CVV), especially on mobile devices.

• Smoother Upgrade Path
  Unlike past SDK updates, this release should not trigger version mismatch issues. This means you can update whenever it’s convenient without worrying about breaking changes in your integration.

Issue Addressed

• Bug: Input Field Cursor Jumping

  • Affected Stores: Any store using Braintree.

  • Symptoms: When entering payment details (expiration or CVV), the cursor may unexpectedly jump between fields, requiring multiple clicks to complete input.

  • Reproduction: Seen on mobile (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro Max) or simulated mobile views in Chrome dev tools.

  • Expected Result: Users can smoothly enter credit card details in hosted fields.

  • Actual Result: Cursor jumps between fields, disrupting input flow.

Workaround

If you’re unable to update immediately, the issue can sometimes be mitigated by using desktop checkout or switching to an alternate payment method until the update is applied.
